Blackacre celebrates 30 years of family farming

Blackacre Farm Eggs is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Started by husband and wife team Tim and Judy Wood, Blackacre began producing fresh, quality eggs in 1979, and 30 years later the business is still going strong producing over one million eggs per week. With son Dan and daughter Vicky now at the heart of the business, the Wood family employs 17 full time members of staff and works with three other local, family run farms to keep up with demand.
Dan Wood comments:'We have seen many changes as a family working on Blackacre Farm over the years. People are far more concerned about the welfare of the animals that produce their food and at Blackacre that has always been paramount. We have always believed that healthy happy hens will produce healthy and delicious eggs.'
